Brother Cane is a Southern rock and modern hard rock band hailing from Birmingham, Alabama. Originally formed in 1990 by Damon Johnson (vocals, guitar) and Glenn Maxey (bass), the band quickly expanded to include Roman Glick (guitar, later bass) and Scott Collier (drums). Following their debut, Maxey departed, and Glick transitioned to bass, joined by new guitarist David Anderson. Their self-titled debut album, released under Virgin Records in 1993, propelled them into the spotlight with the hit single "Got No Shame." After a series of successful albums and lineup changes, the band disbanded in 1999. However, they re-emerged in 2022 with original members Johnson and Maxey, alongside longtime collaborators Jarred Pope, Tony Higbee, and Buck Johnson.
