How to Sound Like Buck-Tick

Buck-Tick's sound is characterized by its dark, atmospheric textures and dynamic range, weaving between aggressive guitar riffs and melodic, synth-laden passages. Hisashi Imai's guitar work often incorporates fuzz and modulation effects, utilizing devices such as the Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi V6 to create a rich, overdriven tone. The band's music is further colored by complex, layered synth sounds, with Imai frequently employing units like the Boss SY-300 Guitar Synthesizer to blend electronic elements seamlessly into their rock foundation. The result is a sonic landscape that is both haunting and compelling, marked by a balance of raw intensity and polished production.
