How to Sound Like Versailles
Versailles' sonic character is defined by its lush, orchestral layers and dramatic flair. The band's sound is both melodic and aggressive, featuring soaring guitar solos and driving rhythms that echo the grandeur of classical symphonies. To emulate their expansive sound, guitarists like Hizaki often utilize ESP Maiden guitars paired with amplification such as the Marshall DSL100H for a rich, tube-driven tone. The use of multi-effects pedals like the Eventide ModFactor allows for the creation of complex, modulated textures that enhance the band's epic soundscapes. Drummers benefit from kits like the Tama Starclassic (Maple), which provide the robust and dynamic percussion necessary to support the band's symphonic intensity.
