Cruzados is a rock band that emerged from the vibrant Los Angeles music scene in the 1980s. Initially formed by Tito Larriva (vocals, guitar), Tony Marsico (bass), Steven Hufsteter (guitar), Marshall Rohner (guitar), and Chalo Quintana (drums), Cruzados quickly gained recognition for their dynamic sound and energetic performances. Known for blending elements of rock with punk and Latin influences, the band made a significant mark by touring with legends like Fleetwood Mac and INXS, and appearing in the cult classic film Roadhouse. After a hiatus, Cruzados regrouped with a new lineup featuring co-founder Tony Marsico, alongside Ron Young (vocals), Loren Molinare (guitar), Mark Tremalgia (guitar), and Rob Klonel (drums), continuing their legacy with fresh material and live performances.

The sound of Cruzados is characterized by raw, gritty guitar riffs and a driving rhythmic backbone that pays homage to their rock roots while incorporating a punk edge. Their music often features the distinct, biting tones of Fender Telecasters, favored by Tito Larriva, which deliver a punchy and articulate sound well-suited for their energetic style. The use of the Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer adds a layer of overdrive, creating a warm, saturated tone that enhances the band's gritty aesthetic. For a touch of expressive flair, the occasional use of a Dunlop Cry Baby GCB-95 injects a dynamic, vocal-like quality into the guitar work, adding depth to their sonic palette.
