George Thorogood

George Thorogood is quoted to have first started as an acoustic player, and moved to a semi acoustic, Gibson ES-125, because he liked the arched top, and similar feel of his original acoustic guitar he first learned on.

in the top picture of this review you can see George Thorogood on the Gibson J-200 accoustic. He uses this guitar together with the gibson super dove on the album "party on one"

I found that Thorogood uses a Gibson ES-125 through the interview in the link. However, whenever I looked up "Gibson ES-125", majority of the results weren't what I'm used to seeing him play. I found a photo of a variant, which contained a single cutaway and 2 dogear P90's. This confirmed that it was a TDC variant of the ES-125.

George says he has played through many amps, but often times he plays though a Fender Dual Showman.
