About
Juicy Lucy is a British blues rock band that emerged in 1969, originating from the remnants of the garage band The Misunderstood. The initial lineup included Ray Owen (vocals), Glenn "Ross" Campbell (steel guitar), Chris Mercer (keyboards), Neil Hubbard (guitar), Keith Ellis (bass), and Pete Dobson (drums). Known for their energetic and gritty take on blues rock, Juicy Lucy quickly made a mark with their rendition of Bo Diddley's "Who Do You Love," which became a UK Top 20 hit. Over the years, the band underwent numerous lineup changes, with notable members like Paul Williams and Micky Moody contributing to their evolving sound. Despite disbanding in the early '70s, the group saw a revival in the mid-'90s, continuing to inject their raw, blues-infused energy into new projects.
