Little Village's sound is a spirited mix of rootsy textures and rock sensibilities, characterized by its organic and gritty feel. The guitar work, often led by Ry Cooder, is both melodic and raw, harnessing a blend of acoustic and electric tones. Cooder's use of the Fender Stratocaster alongside effects like the Old Blood Noise Endeavors Black Fountain delay pedal adds depth and character to the band's sound. The rhythm section, anchored by Nick Lowe's fluid bass lines on the Fender Telecaster Bass and Jim Keltner’s dynamic drumming, provides a solid yet flexible foundation, allowing for both rhythmic drive and subtle groove shifts.
