About
Los Tetas is a pioneering Chilean band that emerged in the mid-'90s, known for their vibrant fusion of funk rock, Latin funk, and hip-hop. Formed in Santiago, the group originally consisted of Cristian Moraga (C-Funk) on guitar and vocals, David Eidelstein (Rulo) on bass, Francisco González on drums, and Pepino on percussion. Their debut album, Mama Funk, established them as a force in the Latin American music scene, integrating bold funk rhythms with the rebellious spirit of hip-hop. Despite lineup changes over the years, founding members C-Funk and Rulo have remained central to the band's enduring legacy.
How to Sound Like Los Tetas
Los Tetas' sound is characterized by its dynamic funk grooves and rhythmic complexity, often layered with punchy bass lines and sharp guitar riffs. The band's music is both energetic and smooth, blending the gritty edge of rock with the infectious rhythms of funk and Latin influences. A key component of their sound is the use of guitars like the Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster Plus and the G&L C-Funk Custom Stratocaster Legacy, which deliver crisp, clean tones that cut through the mix. The percussive elements and layered beats add a vibrant texture, while effects pedals such as the Eventide H9 Max contribute to the band’s eclectic sound palette, enhancing their genre-blurring style.
