OOIOO is a Japanese experimental rock band formed in 1995 by the multi-talented YoshimiO (percussion, guitar, vocals), also known for her work with Boredoms. Initially created as a conceptual project for a magazine photo shoot, the group quickly evolved into a legitimate musical entity, featuring Kyoko (guitar, vocals), Maki (bass, vocals), and Yoshiko (drums, vocals). OOIOO is renowned for their adventurous sound that traverses genres like psychedelic rock, avant-garde, and noise rock, often blending in elements of neo-psychedelia and Krautrock.
