About
Boredoms is a pioneering Japanese musical group originating from Osaka in 1986. Renowned for their avant-garde and noise rock compositions, the group was initially formed by vocalist Yamataka Eye (often referred to as eYe) alongside other key members including Yoshimi Yokota (drums), Seiichi Yamamoto (guitar), and Mitsuru Tabata (guitar, bass). Boredoms’ genre-defying sound weaves elements of electronic, trance, psychedelic rock, and experimental music, drawing influence from the '70s Krautrock movement. Over the years, they have evolved to include a wide array of musical styles and have been celebrated for their unpredictably dynamic performances and innovative approach to music-making.
