How to Sound Like Poets of the Fall
Poets of the Fall's sound is characterized by lush, emotive melodies and dynamic arrangements that balance intensity with a heartfelt touch. Their music often features rich guitar tones and soaring vocals, which are made even more dramatic through the use of ambient effects and powerful distortion. To achieve their distinctive guitar sound, Olli Tukiainen employs instruments like the Ibanez JEM77BRMR Steve Vai Signature Model, which provides a versatile range capable of both delicate introspection and explosive solos. The band’s expressive keyboard passages further enhance their layered compositions, creating a sound that is both grandiose and intimate. Whether it’s through pulsating rhythms or soaring choruses, Poets of the Fall crafts a sonic experience that is as immersive as it is anthemic.
