We Are the Fallen is a gothic symphonic metal band formed in 2008 by former members of Evanescence, a name inspired by Evanescence’s 2003 album Fallen. The group includes Ben Moody (guitar), Rocky Gray (drums), and John LeCompt (guitar), joined by Carly Smithson (vocals), a former American Idol contestant, and Marty O'Brien (bass). Known for their theatrical and emotionally charged music, We Are the Fallen blends elements of gothic rock and symphonic metal, creating a sound that is both powerful and melodic.
