About
Sea Level is a jazz-rock ensemble that emerged in 1976, founded by former members of the Allman Brothers Band. The group initially consisted of Chuck Leavell (keyboards), Lamar Williams (bass), Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johanson (drums), and Jimmy Nalls (guitar). Over time, the lineup expanded to include Randall Bramblett (vocals, saxophone, keyboards), Davis Causey (guitar), and George Weaver (drums). Renowned for their eclectic fusion of jazz, Southern rock, and blues, Sea Level carved out a distinctive niche within the music landscape, delivering complex, improvisation-heavy performances that resonated with fans of both jazz and rock genres.
