Originating from London, the group was the brainchild of Marc Bolan, who served as the band's frontman, guitarist, and principal songwriter. Initially starting as a folk duo called Tyrannosaurus Rex, the band transitioned into a full-fledged rock outfit, embracing a sound that fused elements of glam rock, psychedelic rock, and proto-punk. Key members included Mickey Finn (percussion), Steve Currie (bass), and Bill Legend (drums), each contributing to the band's eclectic and influential style. T.
