About
Terrorvision is a dynamic British rock band hailing from Bradford, England, known for their infectious blend of rock, alternative rock, and Britpop. Formed in 1988, the group originally consisted of Tony Wright (vocals), Mark Yates (guitar), Leigh Marklew (bass), Ian "Shutty" Shuttleworth (drums until 2023), and Chris Bussey (drums from 2023 onwards). With a string of hit albums and chart-topping singles throughout the 1990s, Terrorvision carved a niche with their high-energy performances and catchy tunes, making them a staple of the UK festival circuit.
How to Sound Like Terrorvision
Terrorvision's sound is characterized by raucous, upbeat rock anthems that blend catchy hooks with a raw, gritty edge. Their music thrives on powerful guitar riffs and punchy rhythms, often delivered through Mark Yates' use of Gibson Les Paul and Gibson Firebird V guitars. The crunchy, overdriven tones are bolstered by the Marshall JCM900 4100 amp, adding a rich, full-bodied sound that complements the band's energetic style. Their compositions often feature a mix of melodic and aggressive elements, creating a vibrant and engaging listening experience that has resonated with audiences for decades.
