The Bohicas Members, Gear & Sound

The Bohicas are a British post-punk and garage punk band originating from Essex and West London. Formed in the late 2000s, the group consists of Dominic McGuinness (vocals, guitar), Dominic John (guitar), Adrian Acolatse (bass), and Brendan Heaney (drums). Initially known as Swanton Bombs, they rebranded as The Bohicas in 2014, bringing a raw and energetic sound to the forefront with their debut album The Making of Bohicas.

The Bohicas' sound is characterized by aggressive, gritty guitar riffs and driving rhythms, evoking the raw energy of classic garage punk. Their music often features the sharp, cutting tones of a Fender Stratocaster, enhanced through the use of fuzz and delay effects like the Red Witch Fuzz God II and Boss DD-3 Digital Delay. The combination of these elements creates a dynamic and visceral sonic experience, with a relentless edge that captures the spirit of their punk influences. The rhythm section, anchored by deep, resonant bass lines and punchy drumming, adds to the band's uncompromising, high-energy vibe.
