The Pleasure Seekers were a pioneering all-female garage rock and proto-punk band hailing from Detroit, Michigan. Formed in the early 1960s, the group was initially made up of the Quatro sisters: Suzi Quatro (bass, vocals), Patti Quatro (guitar, vocals), and Arlene Quatro (keyboard, vocals). As the band evolved, Arlene was replaced by another sister, Nancy Quatro. Known for their energetic performances and raw sound, The Pleasure Seekers broke new ground by writing their own material and playing their own instruments during a time when such an approach was rare for female bands. Their music, characterized by gritty guitar riffs and punchy rhythms, set the stage for the emerging punk movement.

The Pleasure Seekers' sound is defined by its raw, energetic vibe with an emphasis on gritty guitar tones and driving bass lines. Suzi Quatro's use of the Gibson EB-2 bass, paired with amplifiers like the Sunn 200S and Orange AD200 MK3, created a powerful low-end foundation that was both punchy and resonant. This was complemented by the vibrant organ tones from the Lowrey T-2, adding a psychedelic texture to their garage rock roots.
