Why mess around?

This thing is amazing. I bought it because (1) its made by Neumann and (2) Drake used it for the whole recording of his break-through album "Thank Me Later" in a hotel room with Noah Shebib (40). Love this mic, it filters out all the noisy crap while remaining honest to its sounds.

On the other hand it takes the U87 'presence peak' to new heights.... not a huge criticism as I used to use the heck outta this microphone at a couple small studios, but as far as fixed-pattern brand name condensers go I feel BLUE and Audio Technica offer more bang for buck as far as versatility goes. The AT4040 is still my favorite condenser for recording electric guitar. The pad and high pass switches really help it in that role vs the TLM, and its just less ahrsh while still providing an airy top-end, sitting somewhere between a Neumann and an AKG 414. And its cheap at 500 bucks new....

My best friend through thick and thin!

Taylor necks are amazingly playable and they sound so bright and warm. Fun to play, a friend when nobody's around and the DI sounds super clean. Grab some HD Elixir strings for this bad boy and get 'er tuned up and playing and she'll love you back forever and always! <3

Amazing price for what you get

Underrated for sure, some of the squire basses are actually better than the P-Basses from Fender (I've been told by an extremely reliable source).

Mine's blue, but same deal.

Nothing beats an old fender guitar! Love the way the neck feels and the ashtray add-on piece. A keeper for sure!

Vintage, nasty crunch

Old ('73) Vintage Fender amp, I love the way it sounds on my Fender Statocaster ('73).

its like a slightly bassier SF champ, handy little devil to have around

Very clean signal, great reverb!

This amp packs a punch for its size and it could be used for live if you need to mic an acoustic amp—I love the reverb feature as well.

Suitable for acoustic guitar, ukulele, or even vocals! Perfect for a small gig.

It's an iPad ... Yeah.

Apple made it.

  • iMPC app
  • LP Remote app
  • Novation Launchpad
  • etc.

5 stars.

Hope to use it soon, but I know its awesome

Only used it a couple times just because I haven't figured out my live set just yet, but it is an amazingly powerful vocal processor pedalboard and it has tons of presets and it is built to be very durable.

Speaker and a monitor at the same time

Best-used for semi-professionals who enjoy a bit of casual listening as well as some heavy mixing here and there. Not the best for mastering, but that's not a reason to not buy them. I love the way they sound familiar and good on most modern music.

Effective price, perfect results

Clean pre-amps, fancy lights, fast connectivity, cool beans.

I only have the pre-amp version, but it rocks (hardware)

Crunchy, British, and very clean gain comes only from the never-failing Neve 1073 LB pre-amplifier. I use it stored in my Radial Workhorse and I love it to bits.

The best opto-compressor that exists ...

Smooth, elegant, genuine, clean, and down-right seductive compression comes only from the La-2a. I love staring at it in my rack unit. Gotta pick on up if you can afford the real hardwar!

It does what it does really well and the only thing that will come close is an old Gates unit. But its not the be-all-end-all. I remember being so excited the 1st time I tried an LA2a only to find myself using a lot more 1176, LA4 and even the SSL G channel compressors on that project. The LA2A is not subtle even when you're just tickling the meter. It should be used when coloration is a priority over actual dynamics control. Have you ever tried a Sta-Level? If you like the LA2A you will love the Gates stuff!

Simple, heavy-duty live controller

Great as a performance controller and decent responsiveness. I also like the fact that it has after-touch pressure sensitivity and FX knobs and cool faders.

A workstation beast, but complex

A tad complex, but the Renaissance is in like 80 per cent of today's music I'd say. I love this thing to pieces, but it is not for beginners. If you want the MPC sound, check out the AKAI MPC STUDIO and work your way up! <3

Legit, vintage fee with a warm tube sound

Love the weighted keys, cool lights, brilliant sounds, and honest playability

how's she stack up sonically against Nord's Electro?

Best creative tool I own

Gets you going, expandable, fun to use, cool/futuristic sounds, cool lights, a tad expensive but worth it!
