BJFe is a Swedish boutique effects pedal company founded in 2000 by Björn Juhl. The name stands for Björn Juhl Förstärkarelektronik ("Björn Juhl Amplifier Electronics"), reflecting Juhl's origins as an amp repair technician before he began designing effects in the late 1990s. Pedals are hand-built by Juhl in small quantities, with his wife Eva hand-painting the lettering and illustrations on each enclosure, giving every unit a distinctive folk-art appearance.
