Díaz began building his own amplifiers in the late 1970s and became closely associated with players such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bob Dylan, and Eric Clapton through his repair and design work before releasing amps under his own name.
The company's catalog centers on point-to-point, all-tube designs aimed at classic American and British voicings. Well-known models include the CD-100, a 100-watt head loosely inspired by high-powered tweed Twins with added reverb and gain options, the CD-30 Club Classic combo, the Classic Twin-100, and the Vibramaster, along with matching speaker cabinets.
