GMP Guitars is a custom electric guitar and bass builder based in San Dimas, California. The company was founded in 1990 by the Moline family — originally as an offshoot of GM Precision Products — with Cameron Moline, Dave Pearson, and Glenn Matjezel driving the early operation. After production wound down in 2005, custom painter and airbrush artist Dan Lawrence acquired the brand in 2009 and resumed building instruments in early 2010 under the GMP name.

The shop builds factory-direct, made-to-order guitars and basses with an emphasis on premium tonewoods and elaborate finishes. Historically, GMP instruments have been built using Honduran mahogany, quilted and flamed maple, and select Western alder, with pickup options from makers such as Seymour Duncan and Tom Holmes. Custom graphic finishes are produced in collaboration with DRL Graphics, reflecting Lawrence's background as a custom painter.
