Lee Jackson is a Southern California-based amplifier designer and modifier whose work under the Metaltronix name helped shape the high-gain guitar tones of the 1980s and 1990s. Jackson rose to prominence as a hot-rod amp builder, modifying Marshall and Fender amplifiers for a wide roster of rock and metal guitarists, before launching his own line of tube amplifiers and rack gear.

The brand is best known for the Perfect Connection series of all-tube rack preamps and power amps — the GP-1000 guitar preamp, BP-1000 bass preamp, and SP-1000 power amp — which became staples of the late-'80s rack-rig era.
