Tycobrahe Sound Company was a Hermosa Beach, California-based audio outfit that began as a professional sound reinforcement provider in the 1970s, supplying PA systems and technical crews for major touring acts and events such as the 1974 California Jam festival. To support its live sound work, the company designed its own gear, including the MX24-4 mixing console and the BFA 2000 bi-amplifier, before branching into guitar effects.

The Tycobrahe effects line is compact but highly regarded among vintage pedal collectors. The Octavia, a silicon octave-up fuzz descended from the Roger Mayer-designed unit associated with Jimi Hendrix, became the brand's best-known circuit and has been widely copied and modeled. The Pedalflanger was among the earliest production flanger pedals built for guitar, and the Parapedal is a parametric wah with a sweepable resonant peak. Original units from the mid-1970s are rare and trade at high prices on the used market.

After the original company wound down, the Tycobrahe trademark was acquired by Chicago Iron, an Illinois-based builder that produces authorized reproductions of the Octavia, Pedalflanger, and Parapedal under the Tycobrahe name.

Tycobrahe has 3 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Fuzz Effects Pedals, Wah Pedals, and Flanger Effects Pedals. Their gear is featured by 15 artists, with the strongest followings in Rock, Blues, and Pop. Notable users include John Mayer, Tony Iommi, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
