Vintage Vibe is a New Jersey-based electric piano company founded by Chris Carroll and master technician Fred DiLeone. The company began in the 1990s restoring and repairing classic electro-mechanical keyboards — Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer, and Hohner Clavinet — and grew into one of the largest suppliers of replacement parts for those instruments, including tines, hammer tips, pickups, grommets, tolex, and electronics.
In 2008, Carroll and DiLeone set out to build their own tine-based electric piano in the spirit of the Rhodes but with lighter weight, modernized construction, and custom finishes. That project became the Vintage Vibe Piano, a hand-built instrument offered in 44-, 64-, and 73-note versions. The company also produces the Vibanet, a Clavinet-style instrument, and the Marquis 73, a Rhodes-MK1-inspired model aimed at stage and studio players who want a purely mechanical sound with no sampling or modeling.
Alongside new instruments, Vintage Vibe continues to run a full restoration shop and sells replacement parts, tools, and service manuals to technicians and players worldwide. The brand is widely referenced in the electric piano community for its technical resources, YouTube repair tutorials, and role in keeping vintage Rhodes, Wurlitzer, and Clavinet keyboards playable.
