My loops are all designed in FL Studio, then I import them into here for arrangement and all that fun stuff.
It's not that complicated, but if you're like me, you don't always need complicated sounds, so this synth is a pretty good one to have.
I've personally never worked with FM8, or any other frequency modulation synthesizer. Honestly, even if FM8 was objectively better, I'm too use to Sytrus to be able to do much with FM8. It's great for those harsh leads and talking basses.
It's probably not the best VST for distortion, but for being free, it works.
For a while this plugin was sitting in my VST folder, going unused. However, one day, I decided to test it out with a new track I was working on, and holy crap, this thing is amazing for glitch music.
This is a very useful VST plugin. I like the graphic analyzer, the user interface is pretty good--over all, it's a really nice equalizer.
I don't use all of the plugins in this collection, but the ones I do use (mainly the Compressor and Master Limiter) are very useful.
They do the job. I'd prefer things like the ATH-M50 or something, but these work just fine.
Honestly, I don't think there's a better piano plugin this. I prefer this free(!) plugin to the piano sounds that come with reFX Nexus, which is $250. I know that's personal preference, and you may prefer Nexus' piano sounds, but I still think this is the best piano plugin out there. The only problem is that you can't use staccato progressions.
If you're new (and I mean VERY new) to creating electronic music, this is one of the best synths you can have. It's got pretty much all the essentials of subtractive synthesis (and more), so it's a great learning tool. It's also absolute amazing for creating a eurobeat brass. Honestly, if I didn't have Harmor, I could just use this because it's that good.
I started out using FL Studio in 2014, and I haven't regretted choosing this DAW as my first. I love the workflow, and it's got some great synths.
