Something different.

I hate to say it but this is one of those "either love it or hate it pedal". It's definitely not for everyone.

Personally, I love this pedal, the four knobs allow you to create different distortion sounds from regular distortion, fuzz-like distortion, grunge e. I must say that the contour and punch knob take time and experimentation to find the right sound for you. Also the controls seem to be really sensitive to one another because one turn can make a difference on the overall sound.

I will use the pedal for rhythm guitars and heavy riffs, I think that's what it does best. I'm sure you can get good sounds for soloing but I wouldn't say that's its strength. Overall it's a good and flexible pedal.

Great little pedal!

I find to be a great pedal. There isn't much you can say about this pedal, it's pretty simple: 2 knobs - volume and attack. Varying the level of attack will give you different sounds from boost-like to full-fuzz once it's all the way up. I personally think sounds the best all the way up. Overall it's good pedal with different sounds achievable with one knob.

I've had a number of actual maestros like Keef used and your description sounds spot on to my experiences with these quirky boxes... I miss the FZ1 sometimes, maybe I'll get the EHX knock off and see how close she gets. Its a simple circuit so apart from the rare texas isntruments Ge transistors it shoulda been easy for EHX to copy. Does it run on a 9volt, two AA batteries or one AA? The FZ1 rand on two AAs, the the FZ1a ran on one AA, whle the very similar (and hyper rare) tonebender mk1 ran on a full 9 volts for increased bandwidth and sustain, however it couldn't do the 'squelchy, farty' decay thing that the maestro units do if you hit them with low output pickups.... good review, but even more info please!

Great DAW!

A powerful DAW, full with different options and tools and friendly enough for beginners. Great for recording and mastering.

Good enough!

It's a pretty good pedal, it gets the job done. The only down sides is that the display is small, but it's not that bad.

Great violin!

It has a beautiful warm but clear tone. The tone knob let's you get different sounds out of this violin. I've used this violin for recordings, gigs and rehearsals and it's pretty amazing, it has never failed me.

Amazing!

It's an incredible pedal, it's crystal clear and you can get chorus-like sounds and also a reverb effect.

Good for starters!

It's a good pedal for the price. You can get different sounds, from jet-plane to chorus-like effects and it's much more audible with distortion or fuzz.
