Nuemann Tube vs. FET?

I'm pretty sure AC/DC used FET47 as o/h for some of their later work

Most versatile pedal?

I've had the Orange Amp 'Getaway Driver' for a couple of years now, and I reckon it would be the most versatile pedal that I own. So far I've used it as; 1. A guitar amp-in-a-box for rehearsing/ live/ recording. 2. As a boost pedal with the gain very low, and the 'Bite' control at about four. 3. An Iommi/ Brian May-style treble booster with the gain low, and the 'Bite' control at seven or eight. 4. Pure cab-sim with the pedal bypassed, coming out of the stereo out. 5. Just a classic mid-forward overdrive (especially good when run in parallel on bass) 6. Added an MXR knob to the 'Bite' control and used my foot as a kind of slow wah 7. and of curse, when all else fails, a paperweight

What other pedals out there have a heap of uses that you think people might not know about?

Nuemann Tube vs. FET?

Thank you!! I definitely want to do a FET47/MD421 pairing on the bass cab, and I am quite intrigued with the U87 in Figure-8, I'll have to give that a go as weel.

I'm also in the process of building a Sub-Kick, have you paired one of those with a FET47?

Nuemann Tube vs. FET?

I've been using an M149 on my 1x12 Bass cab, and have been loving how it's been sounding (I prefer it over the XLR out of the amp), and I've been experimenting with the same cab, but a FET47 (akin to Greta Van Fleet on their album Anthem of the Peaceful Army) and I think it sits in my signal (3 channels) really well, whereas I felt like the M149 'pokes' out of the mix and is a bit more forward. I'm thinking of using the FET47 on some kickdrum recordings coming up, has anyone used a Nuemann for kick? If so, how does it compare to something like a 421 or 112? Cheers :)

D’Addario or Ernie Ball?

I prefer D'Addario for bass (Their flatwounds and stainless steel) but recently I bought a guitar with Ernie Ball strings, and they felt better under my fingers compared to D'Addario of the same gauge.
