Better than the Rampage IMO

I got the Rampage a couple years ago. HATED IT. The tone was great, but I was stuck with one tuning, and even worse it wouldn't stay in tune.

My goodness, was this an upgrade. This guitar plays so much better than a sub-$600 instrument. It feels so comfortable, the neck feels perfect to me. It sounds great, I believe the humbuckers are a JB and a 59. This guitar also has coil splitting, though I never use it much. If I were to have this guitar stolen or broken beyond repair, I'd get another one. Maybe would save up for the Deluxe, but not out of dissatisfaction with this guitar.

Using This

I play at church frequently, with my role being the "Do whatever you want on guitar" person. I got this pedal after stumbling across a video of it on YouTube. My goodness, it has changed so much about how I've played guitar! A few months ago I learned that when you click this on and do volume swells it sounds AMAZING!

Not Just For Bass!

I got this hoping to get more of a Claypool sound out of my bass-playing, but when I played my guitar through it I was pleasantly surprised. You can get a tone similar to some Frank Zappa stuff with this, and I often use it in conjunction with my Lo Fi pedal to get a squirting 8-bit sound that is really weird, which I love.

The Survivor

The second pedal I owned. I've been playing guitar for over seven years now, instruments, amplifiers, and pedals have all come and gone. This one always stayed. Just a damn good pedal. I keep almost all the knobs at 1 o'clock.

Perfect for Oddballs

It took me a few hours, but I found how to get that 8bit video game sound I was going for using this pedal. I also learned that it is suuuuper fun to use this in conjunction with an envelope filter, at least if you love stupid sounding things like me.

Love the tone knob

The knob on the side adjusts the toe-down frequency, which I love having the option to tweak. I myself keep it rolled back about 3/4 of the way to get a nice, voice-like sound for more intentional and expressive playing. But when it's time to just start slashing it's fun to roll the knob all the way forward to help get that psychedelic 'swirling color' sound
