Description
The G&L Tribute Superhawk Jerry Cantrell electric guitar is a harmonious fusion of innovative design and rock legacy. Born from the collaboration with Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell, this axe is a testament to G&L's superior craftsmanship and Cantrell's relentless pursuit of tonal perfection. Crafted from lightweight soft maple, its body resonates with every strum, while the hard maple neck and ultra-responsive ebony fingerboard invite you to unleash your inner shredder.
What sets this guitar apart is its pair of Paul Gagon-designed humbuckers, which are finely tuned to deliver a spectrum of tones. The Alnico-loaded neck pickup offers a vintage-inspired PAF tone with a modern twist, while the high-output bridge pickup delivers scorching, articulate leads that cut through any mix. For those seeking versatility, the push-pull tone knob allows you to coil-split the humbuckers, opening up a world of jangly single-coil textures and gritty bluesy growls.
Adding to its tonal prowess is the innovative Saddle Lock Bridge, a hallmark of Leo Fender’s genius. This bridge design ensures efficient energy transfer from the strings to the body, enhancing sustain and resonance. Whether you're crafting intricate solos or laying down heavy riffs, the Superhawk provides a dynamic canvas for your musical expression.

Better than the Rampage IMO
I got the Rampage a couple years ago. HATED IT. The tone was great, but I was stuck with one tuning, and even worse it wouldn't stay in tune.
My goodness, was this an upgrade. This guitar plays so much better than a sub-$600 instrument. It feels so comfortable, the neck feels perfect to me. It sounds great, I believe the humbuckers are a JB and a 59. This guitar also has coil splitting, though I never use it much. If I were to have this guitar stolen or broken beyond repair, I'd get another one. Maybe would save up for the Deluxe, but not out of dissatisfaction with this guitar.
