New Equipboard Categorization - FAQ & Feedback

No issues for me. This is way more clean and concise and just looks overall sexy. Thanks mods :)

It's working for me and I gotta say I love it. A big "Other Instruments"-Category would be nice since ukuleles, mandolins, harps and stuff are mashed up with tuners and computers. But overall it's great! Well done!

And it would be cool if there was a way to select like three favorite items which are then shown beneath a users avatar. Or just like the first three items of the first selected category. To be honest: I don't want those three packs of strings under my picture and I don't see how I can change that.

I get past there, I drag them into the order I want (or not, I tried leaving the stock order too) and when I hit save it doesn't move forward, takes me to the 'upgrading our equipment' page

lexman - I agree with you on the 3 favorite items thing. We'll think of some elegant solution for that.

jim - we pushed some bug fixes. Could you try again please? Tell me if it still gives you the error page after you hit Save on the drag & drop modal.

That's so bizarre, because I'm not seeing any obvious errors come through. One quick question that might help me diagnose. When you hit Save, does it linger for a while (30 secs or so) and then show you the error page? OR does it error out right away?

my fucking board still will not categorize.... just freezes up

Question: Is a "Past Gear" or "Previously Owned Gear" Category plausible? I feel like this got brought up before and I think this would be pretty badass

Weird it's working well for me- even seeing updates where something that was mistakenly put in "other gear" was corrected.

Only thing that still isn't working is the notification. Still get the "check twitter" page.

I'm still on the lookout for those strings so I can start my review... I am kinda stoked about getting to test drive a new product for free I hope the enxt review is for something bigger... like maybe you can get behringer to send me their Model D clone for a few weeks to review it!

I think you would just have to edit categories and make no categories.

how do I fix my top 3 pieces of gear now? I really don't want ernie balls and a tama cymbal standstand to be my image

also? my x0xb0x won't recategorize from modular to just keyboard/synth when I edit.... all my other miscategorized stuff was easy to fix, this is effed up though

Re the 3 pieces of gear, lexman pointed that out earlier in this thread as well. We need to come up with a solution to make that work again, like being able to mark 3 pieces of gear as your 'favorites'.

Re the categorization, I think it has to do with how a specific item's category (in this case the x0xb0x is Musical Instruments > Keyboards, Synthesizers & MIDI > Modular Synthesizers) maps to a section on your Equipboard. You might have to change the actual item's categorization for it to go into a different section.

Does that make sense?
