Can you please add the Squier FSR Classic Vibe 60s Jaguar (Charcoal Finish)? This color with the matching headstock is not in database.

Wanting the Squier Classic Vibe 60s Jaguar to show up with the correct paint job in your profile is 100% understandable. Especially when you have the best paint job they ever offered on a CV Jaguar, in my opinion.

However, the contributing guidelines are that an item simply being a different color isn't enough to warrant a separate database entry:

Q: What is a duplicate item?

A: A duplicate item is an item on Equipboard is any item that is not significantly different enough to warrant its own page. For example, the color of equipment and instruments does not affect sound, so if all that differs is color, please do not submit a new item, but you are welcome to specify the color of a specific item in the submission notes (in the case you are submitting the item to an artist) or your review (in the case it's an item you own and use). If you spot any duplicate items on Equipboard, please let us know here.

... of course, as you may have noticed, the database is littered with entries of the same guitar model in different colors. Merging "duplicate" entries after they get out into the wild is a complicated process that only the Admins can perform. So, to slow some of this, they capped anyone under 500 points from adding new entries and started this thread.

Now, if this guitar was currently for sale at Sweetwater or GC, you could still spin up a new entry for it that was specific to that one color combo... this is how a lot of folks get around the restriction. How the site owners eventually design around that challenge, we'll just have to wait and see.

All that said, you just want the square in your profile that says "Squier Classic Vibe 60's Jaguar" to show up as Charcoal Mist with a matching headstock, rather than the Shell Pink model that shows up now.

So, in your case, what you want is the ability to choose the image that shows up for each of the instruments you add to your profile, so that they can reflect the correct colors, fretboard woods, etc. This has been requested a lot in the past, and I think it would be a huge improvement.

It's an overdrive pedal, more specifically a Korean clone of the BOSS SD-1. Kramer sold them via MusicYo website in the early 2000s.

No matter how I phrase it, or what tone I take, the reality is that user is probably never coming back to this site.

I don't know what % of users come here to use Equipboard as the gear component of their social media presence, but I feel like it's a substantial portion of users who have just walked in the door.

Finding out that you can't control what color a certain thing shows up as feels mis-calibrated, if your intention was to add an Equipboard profile to your Linktree.

Even if this isn't the primary focus of the site, it a big shiny thing you're invited to do when you first join, and not letting people catalog and show off stuff the way they want is a bummer that some are never going to recover from.

When we didn't have unlimited gear porn pics I got why people might wanna add every specific finish of a guitar in order to have their equipboard look like their collection but now you can show off your babies in all their real life glory so I feel like that really makes up for it.

But you should bring this point of view up in the new thread in mod squad. The issue is not a hill I'm willing to die on. Its whatever the admins say and I'll back them.

Unfortunately, to add them as an official affiliated reseller like you're asking, the site has to offer an API with specific features, and it doesn't look like Palf offers such services at the moment.

If there are specific brands or products that you need added to the database because you own those products, or you want to submit them on behalf of an Artist, please request them individually here. Once your Gear IQ score is over 500, you'll be able to add boutique products like this yourself.
