The Hello-Thread: Please Allow Me To Introduce Myself 👋

Hi guitarists of the world! I'm Kris from Kilmarnock, Scotland and Its good to be on here. Its super interesting to see other peoples set ups and what makes people tick. I've played in a couple of bands in the past and am really just playing guitar as a hobby. My fave band of all time has always been biffy clyro. Some bands I like now are Vukovi, Revocation and Alt J. I took a long time to get the set up I always wanted and now I have everything I need for until I die or until something brakes. And please message me to come and take a look at your equipment because its awesome seeing other peoples set ups no matter what your into!

Thanks! I just checked out your rig and it is awesome! My fave album of biffy clyro is "infinity land!" I hope I don't spend money on more equipment because I need to save up for a big holiday in Ibiza next year! However, messing around with different sounds is a big cure for stress for me and I might one day treat myself to a new pedal. I always liked the EHX memory man deluxe and may one day get that! And I once had a fuzz factory that broke 2 years ago (it was missed dearly) and I might just pick one up sometime.
Your rig is epic beyond belief and I hope you enjoy using it! And let me know what you think of biffy clyro. If I had to recommend an album for a new listener, it would be infinity land!

My Big Sky faves :

Bloom setting tone - 9 oclock (nice and low and dark) Everything else is at 3 oclock except modulation which I have set to full! Because the mod is awesome and atmospheric!

Nonlinear (reverse) tone - 10 oclock (again I like the low, mellow peaceful sound) Set everything else to 12 oclock and again, modulation knob set full for amazing modulation. Also, set the wet to 100% and get creepy fading in sounds!

So those are my 2 faves. Try them out and let me know what you think!

Thee Ministry of Anticulture (ministerstwoantykultury ) - non/total/atonal music with some crazy circuit bents machines like cacophonator, degenerator, defector and defucktor in one person, chimaera destruction unit by X1L3, megaphonator, demonizator, insector, MNP2, music boxes and some other circuit bent or "normal" machines in more or less crazy combinations ( the best synth in the world Lyra-8 made by Vlad Kreimer, Roland SP-555, Roland MC-09, Gristleizer, Boss DR-55, Kaoss (ilator too ).... )

What we hear? Everything... but we like more than others: TG, PTV, GP-O, DI7, Haus Arafna, November Novelet, Pigface, Current 93, Blixa Bargeld, Nick Cave, Michal Lorenc, Zbigniew Preisner, Monte Cazazza, Rykarda Parasol, Swans, Bjork, Imperial Pompadours... many... many others...

Hey...Mike here...i'm from New Brunswick, Canada. I found this site while searching for a place to catalogue my gear in a similar way to what discogs.com does for music media. This site doesn't quite get into that level of detail but it's still really cool! I'm really enjoying checking out the gear that famous artists are using. It's obvious that some of you folks are putting a lot of work into tracking that info down.
