Well, I just joined, if it has to do with gear, and music, then I'm probably going to be there sometime.
I'm a Seattle based local guitarist who also just happens to play bass and keyboard and posts stuff on rare occasions to his Soundcloud, Instagram, and Youtube for fun. I've played in a few local bands such as Smokin' 66', Ancient Tongues, and Zombie Jihad, made a few albums/EP's and such with them. Currently I'm forming a 90's cover band with some pals. I also build/modify guitars and am like a walking encyclopedia on weird stuff. I also run 2 websites on 2 particularly oddball/obscure sets of instruments.
Musically, I'm a bit of a misfit weirdo. I learned guitar playing grunge rock, moved on to New Wave after that, Metal - then I just sort of mixed all that together and got what I like. Bands/Artists I like include Nirvana, STP, Soundgarden, The Cars, Loverboy, Billy Squier, Night Ranger, Ozzy Osbourne, Van-Halen, Dokken, Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, and Buckethead, just to name a few, I also tend to go after rare/obscure stuff like Hyts, Bootcamp, and The Skyhooks just for a few more wanton randoms.
What other stuff can I say about myself? I run 2 specialty guitar websites now with information on both the Odyssey/Hondo Paul Dean guitars designed by Loverboy's lead guitarist, and those weird old Harmony guitars you'd find in the J.C. Penney/Montgomery Wards catalogs back in the day - the H-802/803/804/281x series stuff. I also tend to enjoy researching hard to find gear info on bands that are not as well found out - The Cars and Loverboy will be two I'll be contributing to.
