Gear 9

I'm not sure if I'd buy it, but as a package deal with my AKAI hardware it's a truly versatile synthesizer with cool functionality.
I'd rate this six stars if I could. It's pretty, has a great work flow, and the sound quality is nothing to sneeze at. My only gripe? I can't use it as a rewire host.
The sound quality from this is easily four or five stars, but shitty build quality contribute to this rating. In particular, the headphone jack tends to get finnicky with use.
A great pair of headphones that are comfortable, sound good, and look great. And that's before taking account their bargain of a price.
Pad quality is functional, but not spectacular. The fader is a nice touch, but in general this isn't worth it's price tag, especially with the dearth of free programs that come with it. (Come on, not even MPC essentials? get it together, akai.)
This piece of equipment is positively nuts. Keybed quality is great, drum pads are cool looking (and responsive) and it's easy to set up mappings and presets.
It's very useful to have a small mixer like this when I need it. (Which, admittedly, isn't often, but it comes in handy.)
It's very effective for what it does, but velocity sensitivity is terrible
