In love

I have the Schecter Guitar Research Omen Extreme 5 in Gloss Natural, and the tone on this bass is absolutely deadly—I love it. It stays in tune extremely well, and I haven’t even needed to do a setup yet. The action was dialed in perfectly for my playing style right out of the factory.

Tone-wise, this bass delivers. I primarily use the neck pickups with the bass tone at 100% and the treble at about 50%. That setting gives a massive, heavy low end with just enough gritty highs to cut through the mix and force an instant stank face. It’s thick, punchy, and aggressive without being muddy.

Even though that’s my go-to sound, there’s a ton of versatility here. Switching to the bridge pickup or adding more treble opens things up for brighter, more articulate tones. Whether you’re going heavy or need clarity, this bass can cover a lot of ground. Great sound, solid tuning stability, and excellent value all around.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Neck pickups only
Bass tone at 100%
Treble tone at 50%
