Boldest pick: Electro-Harmonix Nano Q-Tron
Only 5 pro artists on Equipboard own it, but it's ranked #16 in Filter Effects Pedals.
Avg price: $81.45
Overdrive Pedal that Delivers
Not being heavily into the "Pedal Scene", I don't understand the Klon-Mania, so that association with this pedal did not mean anything to me. I was looking for a reasonably-priced overdrive that sounded "vintage".
The Soul Food is exactly what I was looking for. Simple controls and excellent sound.
I have no complaints and would recommend this to anyone not wanting to spend a fortune on their rig.
Avg price: $102.90
A Step Up from EH's Micro Q-Tron
Yes! It truly is.
The reason is the additional "Volume" control knob. This single difference helps remove the "ice pick" in your ears that the Micro Q-Tron can produce. Every other control is the same.
If you're looking for classic funk or Jerry Garcia tones, this is the pedal that you absolutely MUST have.
It's built here in the U.S.A. and is solid. It works great with both guitars and basses.
