I play one of these in seasick green nearly everyday. Took about 3 years for the neck to really get stable for a whole season, I was having to adjust the truss every other week at one point. I hope yours has been solid and stable? Good to see you're gigging with it.

Mine has done me great, and I've had no issues. I got it second-hand about a year ago, and it has been active since the 2000s, so I didn't have any trouble wearing it in. Great bass, sorry to hear you had trouble.
