A weird wild beautiful fuzz
I can't really fully articulate why I like The Whaler fuzz as much as I do. It's not my primary fuzz - for example I think my JHS Cheese Ball is way more versatile - but I cannot bring myself to take it out of my setup. Honestly, I don't even really know what the knobs do, and I've looked it up several times. I just play with it and a lot of the times what results is strange and "unusable." But then at certain settings it's unmatched and sounds absolutely sick and dripping with 'tude.
A few years back I thought, hmm if I like The Whaler this much, let me upgrade to Whaler V2 ... nope. Not the same. I sold that one, apologized to V1, and put her back on my board.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
I recommend just randomly twisting knobs.
