My first guitar: Hawk by Lado. I got it January of 1996. Based on accumulated evidence it seems to date from the late 80s, probably made somewhere in east Asia though I’m not sure where. I’ve replaced the pick guard, the backplate, pickup switch and the knobs, changed the strings many times, added many stickers and had the neck refretted once. At one point the humbucker stopped working (I want to say November 1998), so I had it replaced. At some point in the early 2000s my brother got it working again so I had him put it back in the guitar. The pickup is partly held together by duct tape.
