My #2 is my Washburn N4 Nuno Bettencourt signature model [#408] equipped with 2 nickel-covered EMG-89s custom made for me by Paul Gnat when he worked there [pre-Furman], but years before EMG decided to start making them too. So yes... these are the FIRST. They don't even have the logo on the covers because I had to order them and send them to Paul. Also, I actually had them made so I could put them in my Epi LP to replace the chrome-covered PUs that were in it originally, but they sounded too muddy in the Epi, so I swapped them out for the plastic covered 89 & 81 I used in the N4. Both guitars ended up sounding better, so that's the way I've kept them.
