My kurzweil k2000 is fully expanded! since it included the orchestral and Contemporary rom now.
Making it worth a lot more money then i previously buy.
Installing the expansions are not easy through, since it requires soldiering and a lot of instructions.
Sadly you may need a degree with tech engineering.
Thankfully my expansions are installed.

Nice! Looks like Young Chang was doing the manufacturing at this point?
Mine model came from South Korea actually and there not much of a difference from the us/european other then being branded Young Chang,
Mines came with a HDD which included a analog collection library which i really love based on i played.
I have to update the Eprom of my k2000 since the contemprary rom is not around 800.
Young Chang handled Korea for Kurzweil? That's a cool bit of trivia I had no clue about :)
My k2000 is a modified model, that i bought around 600 USD and in fact it can load a lot of user made patches and also sample patches depending on the OS.
Mines is 3.87J which is a lot faster and can easily read looped .wav and a lot of libraries ranging from akai, roland, iso formats, also can read k2500 patch data which is cool.
Yeah this is a sampler.
It can also be upgraded to 64 MB of sample ram.
