The Nikon D810 refines an already stellar formula, offering subtle yet impactful improvements over its predecessor. With enhanced EXPEED4 processing, increased frame rates, and a quieter shutter, the D810 feels more like a responsive tool than ever before. The absence of an anti-aliasing filter and slight sensor tweaks contribute to its stellar image quality, albeit with minor color shifts. While the sRaw format is less impressive, the boost in autofocus and Live View magnification are welcomed upgrades. However, the button reconfigurations might irk seasoned Nikon users, and the premium price tag compared to refurbished D800 models could be a deterrent for the budget-conscious. Overall, the D810 is a well-rounded DSLR that excels across various shooting scenarios, making it a superb choice for those who prioritize performance over price.

The Nikon D810 is a strong contender in the DSLR arena, offering incremental yet impactful improvements over its predecessors, the D800 and D800E. While the 36.3 MP sensor might not be groundbreaking, enhancements like a broadened native ISO range and a faster EXPEED 4 processor give it an edge in autofocus speed and frame rate. Ergonomic tweaks make it more comfortable for extended use. The omission of the Optical Low Pass Filter slightly boosts sharpness, especially in mid-frame and corners. Although image quality sees modest gains, the D810's robust feature set, including the sRAW format and improved shutter mechanism, makes it a worthy upgrade. However, early thermal issues might concern long-exposure photographers, though Nikon has addressed this with a service advisory. Overall, the D810 impresses with its balanced blend of performance and new features, making it a versatile choice for varied photography needs.
