Having this machine for a long time and it has most components you need to get great sounds out of it. Will keep it as a memory.
Bought it new in 2004 but value will be minimal now. Great for someone who wants to try it out first before buying something more expensive. I am keeping this for the kids.
The sounds are very good, I bought this specifically to get great orchestral string sounds. Surprisingly when I found what I wanted in one of the libraries, I also found a sound in Alchemy (as part of Final Cut Pro X) that was indistinguishable from it. I guess it is a sign of how far synthetic sounds have come.
First thing I noticed when I switched over from my Bose headphone was the volume increase with the M50. As such for low impedance and throughput. Clarity if very good, very well spread out through al frequency ranges. Would buy again.
Pretty amazing instrument where you can express your breath into the sounds. WInd and lip pressure is translated into MIDI ... meaning lots of things to control. You would need an externe (sound) module though.
