Nostalgic

The sounds are very good, I bought this specifically to get great orchestral string sounds. Surprisingly when I found what I wanted in one of the libraries, I also found a sound in Alchemy (as part of Final Cut Pro X) that was indistinguishable from it. I guess it is a sign of how far synthetic sounds have come.

mauricioibanez

My experience with the GForce M-Tron Pro.

I purchased this virtual instrument last year and I have to say it's one of the best decisions I've made. The sheer amount of sounds and the sound quality are well worth the investment. From choirs, to strings and church organs, M-Tron Pro has it all. You can get those Steven Wilson, King Crimson mellotron sounds with ease. A must-have.

moogbadger

Great stuff

Combine this with the Streetly Expansion packs and you've got access to just about every sound the mighty mellotron ever made. Really well-crafted ROMpler; beautifully sampled.

"I’m using to 2 MacBook Pro laptops both with Mainstage. The upper keyboard (Impulse) center, and lower right Studiologic are the controllers. I use these exclusively for the retro-simulations and complex orchestral patches. For instance, I use a number of some 3rd party plugins such as: IK Sampletank, Omnisphere, G-Media, M-tron etc. Both computers are loaded with these plugins. It is very helpful in recreating the retro analogue keys sounds from the early Yes stuff such as mellotrons, organs, electric pianos, church organs, Minimoogs etc."

I now have an amazing multitrack recording studio in a laptop. This has changed everything. But I believe it is the ideas that count, the people involved—not the technology. I am a digital fan, so I am excited to see this proliferation of digital technology, including soft synths and virtual instruments."
