Bought my JM becuase of Thurston Moore, Kevin Shields & J Mascis. It's remained my primary choice since it was delivered. On the bridge pickup it seems to cut all the low end from the signal giving you this abbrasive treble-y tone, perfect for 60s style garage rock and jangle pop. The neck pickup is a beautiful warm sound that I find is great for soul & jazz, think Al Green. However, the middle postion is this lush crossover of both tones. The quintessential single pickup fender-y sound.
