ios 9
the ipad 2 is not only a mobile platform for creating music, it is also a live performance controller. versatile but not too cheap to buy. definitely recommend it for those into more contemporary production using emulation apps that are so much more affordable than purchasing the modular analogue hardware!

geat monitors
for an entry-level priced studio monitor, it produces reference like quality with a spacious wide soundstage. there are adjustable knobs to control the low and high frequencies, as well as the volume, at the back of the monitor, so that the sound quality can be adjusted to suit the environment as well. nice design too! the monitors can be used for both casual listening or professional audio engineering!

bass heavy but very reliable
i've had these multi-media speakers for about a decade now, and it's still playing very well. a little on the heavy bass end, but there is a knob to adjust the sub-bass on the subwoofer. reasonably cheap when i bought it years ago, but now a discontinued model from logitech.

audiophile reference headphones
i use it mainly for mixing and mastering as it brings about unparalleled reference quality to the ears! light weight so that it won't hurt after hours of use in the studio, the audiophile quality of the headphones also ensures that there is no ear fatigue because of the creeping highs. used to be the flagship model for AKG, that has now become a reference pair of headphones in many studios worldwide!

t-JAYS Four
great upper mid-range in-ear monitors at a still affordable enough price, with fantastic audio quality, and also full remote control optimized for ios! tight punchy bass, clear mids and pleasant highs make for a wonderful listening experience. i use it mainly to check, after mastering the audio, during playback on the iphone!

great for bassheads
expensive, and its sonic characteristics are indeed polarizing. the heavy low end is a personal choice, but the sturdy built is first class! i mainly use it as my headphones when DJing, and also to listen to flattened mp3 files on the iphone where the audio quality is not audiophile.

small and cheap
the size makes it really convenient to carry around (about 3/4 the size of a cigarette box). i use it to clean up my audio routed through to the consumer 2.1 speakers with a 24 bit/ 44.1 or 48 kHz sampling rate, that comes out pristine crystal clear, and really loud and club ready too! useful for mobile DJs with a small set-up! a useful ios ready headphone amp/DAC!

great external controller
the f1 is a great tool for budding DJs who like to play live. particularly meant for remixing on the go, it has been constantly updated so that now it not only plays samples and loops in the remix decks of traktor pro, but it also controls stems. it is very intuitive to use, and at a price that won't break the bank!

the bare bones basic of DJ controllers
the s2 is functional enough to perform a sophisticated range of styles when it comes to DJing, yet it is still affordable. well-built, it is a typical native instruments product: great fun to use, fully functional and absolutely top class for its entry-level price range! comes with traktor pro, and constant updates, so it is never left behind even after the new stems range is introduced to the market.

great innovative product
why no one else thought about it, i'm not quite sure, but the 3 slot usb hub is just the most convenient connection on the audiohub 2x4! low latency, great pristine focusrite sound quality, extremely loud volume, and an overall elegantly and functionally designed gear great for the entry-level price that it comes in...what's there not to like?

nice controller
novation can't seem to get anything wrong! the launchkey 25 is a midi controller that is easy to use and still cheap enough to purchase. it also comes with a useful app that is free from the novation website. great fun to use, and there are user and factory settings so you can play endlessly with the possibilities!

a native instruments best seller
nice piece of equipment with frequent updates and new expansion packs to expand its range of sound. could be used to play live, or used in the studio for production work, as it is a useful combination of both hardware and software. highly recommended tool for producers!
