This is definitely a great guitar for beginners who are looking to move up from their old Squier or Epiphone. It's a little cheaper than a Mexican strat (since it's made in China), but there is certainly no sacrifice of quality. It comes with a bridge humbucker and a coil split on the Tone 2 control, a few features you wouldn't see on your everyday Strat.
