In this video, Avi Kaplan can be seen with his Gibson Hummingbird with natural body. Gibson is clearly labeled in the headstock, and the classic pickguard design belongs only to Hummingbirds from Gibson.

In the attached YouTube video, Clear Tune Monitors showcases Pentatonix (Avi's former band) and their use of the brand's custom in-ears. According to the website, Pentatonix uses a version of the CT-500 Elite in-ears, although it's not clarified whether or not the custom in-ears are the CT-500 Elite in-ears or a separate set.

In this Instagram Livestream from December 11, 2021 Avi Kaplan is seen playing his Breedlove AD25/SR Plus. He's had this guitar since high school. It's the first guitar he bought by saving money from working at an ice cream stand and roller rink. He talks about this at around mark 19:10 in the video and shows different elements of the guitar. He also talks about his Giannini Craviola and mentions that he plays piano, harmonica, and some other stringed instruments as well. In the attached article, Pentatonix's mixer Ed Boyer takes a deep dive into the band's recording setup and the applications of specific gear they use. In the article, Ed says, "With bass vocals it’s a matter of using the proximity effect to your advantage, ideally using a hefty, large–diaphragm condenser mic, up close, like the [Neumann] FET 47, which I have been using a lot recently."

In this video you see Avi Kaplan open the banjitar case at the very beginning. The name Gold Tone is on the case. Avi tunes and plays the banjitar in the video. This was a birthday present from his fans. You also see this instrument on stage during his livestream from YouTube Space in LA in spring of 2020
