In this video, Champignon can be seen holding his famous 5 string Stingray bass guitar. Champignon has also used this bass guitar for many live shows and has probably also used it for some studio recordings as well.

In this picture you can see "Champignon" using his "Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray 5 H" (probably a 1989 to 1997). This was his main bass from 2000 to 2005 when he left the band Charlie Brown Jr. But it is possible that he acquired the bass right before the recording of their second album, "Preço Curto Prazo Longo". I've heard that he recorded some song with it but i wasn't able to find any source for this info on the internet. Throughout the years it's possible to notice some different stickers on the bass. A DVD (Ao Vivo DirecTV Hall) from 2002 shows the bass with no stickers on.

In this video "Champignon" can be seen playing a sunburst Fender Jazz Bass. Curiously this looks very similar to the one that he apeared in a photo earlier in his career (probably between 1997 to 1999), its possible that it's the same bass, wich is curious due to the fact that he sold a lot of his earlier equipment in the late 2000s.

In this vídeo "Champignon" is playing a "Fender Jazz Bass 5-strings Victor Bailey Signature" in a rehearsal with his band "Charlie Brown Jr". He used this bass quite often in live concerts for a while. Its easy to find other video on YouTube of him playing this same bass before acquiring it at Bass Center, a famous bass store in São Paulo.

In this video at "2:42" to "3:03" a former band mate from "Charlie Brown Jr" talks about his amp head a "Mesa Boogie Bass 400+" wich he used when he got back in the band in 2011. He used this amp to record the "La Familia 013" album as it is said in the video.

In this video at the minute "7:34" Champignon show his "Mesa Boogie Buster Bass 200 2x10 combo". He used it while was on "Nove Mil Anjos". This video gives away almost his full setup on that live/studio session, missing only the pedals.

Champignon used a Fender Precision Bass in the recording of "Preço Curto... Prazo Longo" and during live performances in late 90s and early 2000s, notably in the song "Não Deixe o Mar Te Engolir," as evidenced by the DVD "Charlie Brown Jr - Ao vivo 2002," released by EMI and recorded in São Paulo.

Champignon used Rotosound RS665LD Stainless Steel 5-String Bass Strings (45-130) during his later years with Charlie Brown Jr. before his passing in 2013, as evidenced by the distintive red silk in a photograph available on the Equipboard website.

In the YouTube video titled "Charlie Brown Jr. - Zóio de Lula (LIVE '99)" by Gustavo, at the 0:10 mark, Champignon is seen playing a Fender Mexican Deluxe Active Precision Bass Special. This performance took place during their recording of the song "Zóio de Lula" in 1999 on the Brazilian TV show Programa Livre.
