At 15:25 in this interview, Rick Beato asks Danny Carey what drum kit he used on the first Tool record. Danny responds:
I had a Phonic Plus kit that I just bought off of a guy here in town. I can't even remember what it was. But it was a couple of 24" kick drums and they were all square size toms. Like, 12", 13", 14", 16" or something, you know. Those were my babies, you know. I still love the Phonic Plus drums, man. Beachwood sound, they just generate a lot of low end. Those bass drums actually, from that kit, I think I've used on every Tool recording. I have all these other kick drums I've had made. I get my endorsements from like Sonor signature series stuff that's insanely expensive but man I always end up going back to those drums. They're magical.

In a YouTube video titled "Danny Carey takes you through his Paiste cymbal set up with the TOOL tour," Danny Carey confirms his use of the Paiste Stewart Copeland Signature Combo Crisp Hi-Hats 12". At 3:35–3:36, Carey states, "I just started using Stewart Copeland's hats on this tour. I really like them; they're very articulate, they have a lot of cut to them."
In this video, Danny Carey is asked how he triggers vocal samples. He responds at 5:07 saying:
There's not a lot of backgrounds on this tour, but there is a little bit and some of the vocals are very high. We sampled some of them, so I trigger them off of this Roland SPD. It's a really useful thing. That's pretty much all I'm using this for. Actually, as the tour goes on, I think I might load in some weirder samples for some of the more industrial vibe songs we're playing on this tour. But it's been a work horse.
Danny Carey uses Evans EC2 SST Clear drumheads on his toms for his current tour kit, as demonstrated in a TikTok video by Evans Drumheads.

Danny Carey uses the Pearl P2050C Eliminator Redline Chain Drive Single Bass Drum Pedal, as confirmed in a YouTube video where he discusses his kick drum pedal preferences. Carey mentions positioning the felt beater very far back, explaining, "It gives me more of a whip and I can generate more speed. I use a Danmar felt beater, it generates more low end." He also notes that he prefers a loose spring tension for the pedal.
